Who we are

NotifyBD is a reminder, monitoring and notification service made up of the website notify.bd, the web app app.notify.bd and the NotifyBD Android app (package bd.notify.app). It is operated by RAMPSBD, 496 Seroil, Ghoramara, Boalia, Rajshahi 6100, Bangladesh. Questions about this policy or your data: info@rampsbd.com.

Some accounts are created and managed by a provider (a business that resells NotifyBD to its own users). If a provider made your account, the provider can see and manage it too, as described below.

What we collect

Account details you give us: your name, username or email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), phone number (only if you add one, for SMS and WhatsApp alerts), language and time zone.

What you create in NotifyBD: reminders (title, message, schedule, answers such as Yes / Snooze / Not yet), monitors (the website addresses, servers, ports or IP addresses you ask us to check, and their check results), your inbox of notifications, the channels you join and the channels and broadcasts you create.

Wallet and payments: your balance, top-ups and payment references (for example a bKash or Nagad transaction ID you enter) and the charges for SMS and WhatsApp messages. We never see or store card or mobile-wallet PINs.

Security and sign-in records: the IP address, browser or device type and time of each sign-in and important action, a one-way hash of a device identifier taken at sign-up (to stop duplicate and automated sign-ups), and the tokens that keep your phone or browser signed in and able to receive notifications.

Usage analytics: the website uses Google Analytics, and the Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase, to count visits, screens opened, app opens and events such as "notification received" or "reminder answered". Firebase also collects device information (model, Android version, country) and an app-instance ID, and may read the Android advertising ID. We use this only to understand how NotifyBD is used and to improve it — not for advertising. NotifyBD shows no ads. We never send your name, email, phone number or the text of your reminders to analytics.

What the Android app does not access: your contacts, SMS messages, call log, location, photos and files, microphone or camera. It asks for notification permission (to show your alerts), runs a foreground service (to keep a connection to your NotifyBD account so alerts arrive instantly), starts after the phone restarts, and can show a full-screen alarm over the lock screen for reminders you set as an alarm.

How we use it

• To run the service: send your reminders and monitor alerts at the right time, by the methods you choose (app, email, SMS, WhatsApp), and record your answers.
• To keep your account and wallet correct: charge SMS and WhatsApp messages, refund failed ones, and show you a delivery log.
• To keep NotifyBD secure: detect abuse, duplicate or automated sign-ups and unauthorised access.
• To contact you about your account (for example a welcome message or an important service notice).
• To improve NotifyBD, using the usage analytics described above.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the services needed to run NotifyBD, and only what each one needs:

• SMS and WhatsApp gateways — your phone number and the message text, when a notification is sent to you by SMS or WhatsApp.
• Email service — your email address and the message, when a notification is sent to you by email.
• Google — usage analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase), web push delivery for browsers and phones, and Google Play for app installs and updates.
• Cloudflare — the bot check (Turnstile) on the sign-up form, and DNS.
• Your provider — if a provider created your account, it can see your account details, plan, balance and delivery log, and can suspend or delete your account.
• Channel owners — if you join a channel, its owner sees your name, email and your answers to its reminders. You can leave a channel at any time.
• Authorities — only when the law of Bangladesh requires it.

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS).

How long we keep it

• Your account and what you created in it: for as long as the account exists.
• Logs (sign-in and activity records, delivery log, inbox, monitor check results, reminder history, outages): 90 days, then deleted automatically.
• Wallet and payment records: for as long as the account exists.
• Database backups: the last 14 daily backups, so deleted data disappears from backups within 14 days.
• Analytics: kept by Google under our Google Analytics retention setting (up to 14 months) and not linked to your name or email.

Your choices and rights

• See and correct your details on the Profile page of the app.
• Turn notification methods on or off for each reminder and monitor, leave channels, and turn off notifications in Android settings.
• Ask for a copy of your data, or for corrections you can't make yourself, by writing to us.
• Delete your account and data — see Delete your NotifyBD account.

Children

NotifyBD is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date below. For important changes we will also tell you in the app.
